Entité 4 is pleased with the success of the Open House held at the Francophone Adult Day Program in Oshawa on November 6th. Several community members joined regular customers to participate in a few exercises and recreational activities led by qualified professionals. The morning activities were fun and greatly appreciated by all participants.
Following lunch “à la Québécoise”, the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region hosted a talk about brain health and physiology. The presenter Brenda Davie, Public Education Coordinator, answered several questions from the participants regarding brain function and memory.
Isabelle Girard , Executive Director of Centres d’Accueil Héritage , Dieufert Bellot , French Services Coordinator at Central East LHIN and Hermann Amon, Planning Officer at Entité 4, spoke about the importance of this Adult Day Program in Durham. Thanks to the members of the community, this service is available for seniors in Durham region and they are invited to participate in this program designed for their physical, mental and social well-being.
