This program, offered in French to Francophones within North Simcoe Muskoka, was offered for the first time this summer at Chigamik CHC, then a second session took place in October at Collège Boréal, and the program returned once more to Chigamik CHC in November. Two facilitators, Julien Laramée and Chantale Blanchette, trained 15 participants at the November session, which brings to total number of participants to 34 for all three sessions.
All partners are very pleased with the success of this program, offered entirely in French. Participants were given with the necessary skills and knowledge to better manage mental health issues.
Entité 4 wishes to thank North Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network, La Clé d’la Baie, Chigamik CHC and Royal Victoria Health Centre for their support and cooperation with this project which contributes to increase access to mental health services in French in that area.
