Communication plays a crucial role in providing quality healthcare and improving patient satisfaction.
Numerous studies show that when they receive services in the official language of their choice, patients can better explain their symptoms. Also, errors in diagnoses are fewer and adherence to the treatment plan is improved. Consequently, the number of hospitalizations is reduced. Our goal is to ensure that French-speaking populations in our catchment area have access to a wide range of quality health services in French. In order to achieve this, we engage the community in a variety of ways, including surveys, polls and focus groups, etc. During these exchanges, we invite Francophone communities to share their experience in navigating the health system and tell us about their needs.
